Reviews for Optoma HD70 720p DLP Home Theater Projector (Electronics) I upgraded from an Infocus X3 and I can let you know first hand that you are going to straight away now notice that the HD70 has much higher contrast. You could make out extra important levels within the shadows. It makes fairly a difference in case you are watching a horror movie.

I would counsel this undertakingor to anyone.

I did discover a excellent deal on a undertakingor ceiling mount, google "projectormountstore". $50 for a in reality sharp looking projector mount.
Reviews for Optoma HD70 720p DLP Home Theater Projector (Electronics) I have owned an Optoma EP 719 XGA challengeor for roughly a yr and to find it an excellent unit for the price. However, when Optoma launched the HD 70, a full 720p missionor, for underneath $1000, I had to buy it. The projector is gentle, but substantially-constructed with a sturdy gloss white case. I used to be immediately impressed with the standard of the construct.

I used to ben't too sure what to expect--after all, it had 1 of 2 the rated lumens of the 719 and supplied a gain of about 33% in decision on a 16:9 film. I plugged it in, connected my HDMI DVD participant, made some minor adjustments--and used to be amazed at the result. The HD 70 gives a vibrant, crisp, hellogh-contrast and richly-colored picture that was once in every method measurably superior to the 719. Standard DVDs take on a three-dimensional look; my spouse even requested if I had sold a high-definition DVD player since the images appeared so sharp. The starting combat sequence of Star Wars III is solely breathtaking; the opening "dark" scenes of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" take on a rich depth, with loads of hitherto unseen (on the 719) shadow detail to be had. I mission on a 106" Grey Wolf monitor.

The HD 70 achieves this with the help of the use of some advanced technology--and it works, most of the time. The Image AI operate increases contrast to an mind-blowing 4000:1 via varying the light output of the missionion lamp in line with the scene displayed. This perform truly does ship, even supposing it can be a no longericeable distraction at times. In the scene in Apollo 13 where Lovell is discussing the hearth that killed hellos colleagues with his son, Image AI gave the look to be a bit of "lost" and there was once noticeable and almost consistent adjustment to the lamp brilliantness. In most circumstances, alternatively, the function performs admirably. Another main development is the 7-segment, fourx shade wheel. If you would possibly be vulnerable to "rainbows" on DLP ventureors, you'll to find that this setup pretty much eliminates the problem, even on scenes with stark black-and-white distinction.

One or two more issues come to mind--the offset of the undertakingor (as with most Optomas) raises the challengeed image at about 33 stages from the horizontal. This works neatly for a "tabletop" set up, but any person who needs to do a ceiling mounting may find this offset inconvenient.
Reviews for Optoma HD70 720p DLP Home Theater Projector (Electronics) Just got 2 days ago to replace my four80p Infocus 4805 and am more than pleased with the step up in resolution. Much quieter than my four805, higher picture, and HDMI enter are the largest advantages thus far. Seems to be very stable, gentle but now not flimsy. Zoom and Focus dials have just a little tension which makes it easier to effective tune. Great far flung and straightforward setup. IMO the best 720p ventureor you'll in finding on a budget.
